I just saw a great British Invasion concert at Cerritos Center For The Arts (Los Angeles), headlining Eric Burdon and The Animals, and Rare Earth; It was FUN! The music quality was excellent; blew me away! "It's my life, and I'll do what I want..." What I want is The Hollies touring in America, now!!! Recently, I have seen Stevie Winwood, Spencer Davis, and Eric; Hollies, why not YOU!?! The time is right, and the yuppies are waiting for you!!! Plus, at my last TV commercial shoot, The Hollies came up often (happens all the time), from both British and American production teamers. We love you guys, your songs are being played (like Bus Stop, and Long Cool Woman In A Black Dress) and sold; THE OPPORTUNITY IS NOW!!! Come on over, I'll buy you lunch.

I made a similar offer once. With a little persistence and a lot of luck, dinner did occur about nine days later, with Carl, Ray, Alan and some of the crew. Only had to buy my own, too...

Despite his protests, I did buy Carl dinner about a year later, though!

Don't expect they'll be back to the States, though.

Sure would love to see them here too! Canada that is. I got the chance to go to a three day festival last August which featured many greats - including the Eric Burdon show, Spencer Davis, Johnny Winter, Joe Walsh, Alice Cooper, Steppenwolf, and others. To have the Hollies tour here would be fantastic, but in the mean time I'll settle for the Terry Sylvester show later this month.
