Isnt it amazing that the person least who you expect to write new songs was bobby? Out of the 4 songs Bobby has wrote in his career with the Holles (I think its 4?) which ones are your faves? Mine are, and this is interesting lol:
1) - She'd kill for me. Off the new album
2) - Transatlantic westbound jet
3) - Keep off that friend of mine
4) - Dolphin Days
What does everyone else think?
I think bobby should write more songs and the next album should be at least half of original ones. |

The two songs Bobby Elliott has penned with Mark Nelson are superb. I think the rest of the guys should follow suit and write some original material for a potential future album as they are all more than capable of writing some top tunes. |

Tony has written some of the best songs ever. Just listen to the "Confessions Of The Mind" CD again.
Why did he stop writing songs ?? |

And let's not forget "Burn Fire Burn" on the expanded edition of the 1973 "Hollies" album. "Burn Fire Burn" is the only song that Bobby Elliott has written entirely by himself. |

Tony rarely wrote by himself, and generally needed to work with a lyricist, such as Kenny Lynch.
I don't understand why Tony Hicks doesn't do the obvious thing and write with Bobby Elliott, where Tony would write the music and Bobby would write the lyrics. |
