On "Sunday At Nine" this week Chloe Stanton will be running through the career of 60's legends the Hollies with a little input from Tony Hicks along the way. Plus she'll be playing tracks from their recent album Staying Power.
The programme airs again on Wednesday 11th June at 9pm and from Thursday 12 June, it will be available online to listen to via the Big L website - www.bigl.co.uk
Big L is available to listen to in the UK on 1395am / Sky Digital Channel 0190 / or on the website www.bigl.co.uk

When listening online, is it only going to be played live, or will also be available to stream later as an archived item?
LOL, and how do those times listed convert to U.S. Eastern Time Zone times? |

I'm on the US east coast and I'm 5 hours behind London, if that helps. |

I have just finished listening to Big L Radio-Chloe Stanton's programme on the career of The Hollies with input from Tony Hicks.Great show-It was wonderful listening to wall to wall Hollies for one hour-with the likes of We're Through,Yes I Will,King Midas In Reverse-And Carrie Anne even and lots more.Liked the story from Tony about being in a hotel room with Klaus Voorman(Mothers of Invention)and both working out the guitar part to Bus Stop-Tony said that Klaus influenced him in a big way.Really enjoyed it-Thanks again Rob!! |

Mothers of Invention? Voorman became a member of Manfred Mann in 1966, as did Mike D'abo. Interesting how Tony Hicks mentioned Voorman as a possible replacement for Eric Haydock, but Bernie got the job instead. |

Incidentally, The Manfreds are well worth catching - I saw them last year in the small Scottish Borders town of Langholm with a packed venue of about 300 people. A nice selection of songs, unfortunately not many from the D'Abo period as he wasn't touring with them at the time. Paul Jones is a great frontman, although it has to be said if he was chocolate, he'd eat himself. |
