One of my other favourite bands from the sixties, The Searchers, were appearing in my home town last Friday so I went along to see them.
They are in their 45th year and still put on a good show, although Frank Allen had a terrible cold that evening! John McNally, a founder member of the group, was in fine form.
They opened the second half with 'Have You Ever Loved Somebody' then Frank told the audience during the set that they had been been given some fine songs by some great artists, and he included the Hollies in his list.
Like the Hollies, they, too, had produced a live DVD which included interviews with each member of the band, as well as a lot of photos of the band over the last 45 years.
It was a good night out and a 'warm up' to tomorrow evening when we are off to Kilworth to see The Hollies! |

Do you know of an official Searchers site where this DVD is available for purchase? |

Thanks John. I wrote an e-mail to the lady that is listed on that link. We'll see if I get a reply. |
