So, "vingar" is not in English, but the other two albums are?
Nine pounds per album via download seems a bit pricey, but I may have a go at it. |

[quote="brandy"]Lou,
The first concert you mention sounds it could have been from the Soap Opera tour...did they wear the day-glo wigs? Thank to the vagaries of Midwest weather in the early spring, I got to see the world premier of that album/show in St. Paul, MN - it was supposed to be in another city, but courtesy of a late March blizzard that nixed that gig...
Day Glo wigs it was. It was at the now defunct Poplar Creek outdoor
venue in Hoffman Estates about 30 or so miles away from Chicago.
It was Sept 23 1989
"The USA's most ardent and true blue, loyal Hollies fan", huh? You should have been with me in 2002-04!!!!! That was madness....
Well ...I'm among the most ardent anyway ,
I'm certainly a true blue & loyal Hollies fan
If I'd have known ... I would have been around
Going to see Terry S. at the Fest for Beatles Fans in August?
Terry is playing Thursday(June 7) in Waukesha Wis. too.
I am trying to make that date, still not sure(other plans )
I do indeed plan on attending the Fab Four Fest , if only
to catch Terry. |

He was "asked" to depart, because Clarke's solo career fizzled and the Hollies' weren't exactly packin' 'em in, either. So both sides needed Clarke in the Hollies. That left Rickfors on the outside looking in.
A little revisionist history has suggested that Rickfors was somehow glad to leave, but how can anyone believe that?
That's not the greatest episode in the band's history. |
hmmmm.....
ALL the HOLLIES episodes are the "greatest" as far as I'm concerned.
But that's just me ... a true blue Hollies fan.
anyone agree ? |

Not really, sorry! Like every band, there were some low points! |

Granted , the leaving of Eric , Graham , Terry , Bernie
Allan(a few times) and even Mikael ,to say nothing of
the unfortuneate passing of Carl are indeed personal
low points . Not only for the band but for the fans as well.
I should have elaborated.
I meant musically , the Hollies have always remained
sharp and resilient . Their sound is always lush & vibrant.
Their musical output ,always top notch & classy .
Thats what I was getting at. |
