There is a new DVD in the "Midnight Special" series that immortalizes The Hollies with Terry Sylvester singing lead on their giant US hit "Long Cool Woman (In A Black Dress)". The DVD is titled "More 1975", but this is actually The Hollies' appearance on the late-night music show in early 1973. It is ironic, then, that The Hollies DID appear on the show in 1975, performing "Long Cool Woman" this time with Clarke, and their newest single "Another Night". I was expecting that clip, but this is special because it features Terry singing lead on their No. 1 US hit. Dig Tony and Mikael on dual lead guitar, with the rhythm section of Bernie Calvert, bass, and Bobby Elliott, drums, providing the beat. Great to have this in superb quality. |

Is this a performance that is NOT included in the new 'official' Hollies DVD release?
And I think I'm correct in saying that this performance isn't in any of the bootleg discs, correct? |

Not included.
This clip, along with "He Ain't Heavy..." with Mikael Rickfors singing lead, has been on Ebay as a boot, but in lesser quality. These clips are now color-corrected and in stereo. |

Dennis, which DVD has "He Ain't Heavy" with Mikael singing lead? Is it on the same "More 1975" DVD or another in the series? I really must add these Rickfors clips to my collection! |

I agree - a link to a site selling DVD's containing each of those two performances would be nice. |

The "Midnight Special" DVD series is only sold through their website. You sign up and they send out 2 DVDs every 6 weeks or so. They also show up on Ebay.
The clip of "He Ain't Heavy" with Rickfors singing is found on the "More 1973" DVD in the series.
These really are must-haves for The Hollies fan. |

In addition to The Hollies, other acts featured in the series include Argent doing "Hold Your Head Up", T. Rex "Bang A Gong (Get It On)", Golden Earring "Radar Love", and Stories "Brother Louie". |
