Hello Susie, Hello Susie, tell us the news about yourself, Hello Susie, Hello Susie, tell us that you've enjoyed yourself.
That was a Move song but I don't know if Carl was still with them when they recorded it Confused I'll go and check.

Hi Gordon Exclamation

I didn't know that The Move sang a song called Hello Susie Tell Us About Yourself. The only Move songs that I know of are Fire Brigade and Blackberry Way. Smile

Anyway I seem to have a popular name when it comes to songs because there have been quite a few songs with my name in it. And my Mum told me that I was named after The Everly Brothers song Wake Up Little Susie. Very Happy

All The Best

Yes, the Amen Corner had a hit with it in 69 but the Move didn't record it until 70. It's differant from the Aman Corner version. Slower and heavier with Roy Wood growling it out. It's good.

Hi Shells and Gordon Exclamation

I might look in the shops for some Move CDs and see if I can find one with Hello Susie on it so I can listen to it and see what it sounds like.

And yes Shells, Help was a Beatles song. Sorry I couldn't resist that one. Haha Laughing

I nearly caused a stushie, folks... I told Gus, the driver who takes me to me club on a Friday about Hello Susie and he nearly blew a gasket... Insisted on Amen Corner being the only ones who sang it......

Was nice to be able to come back with info on it.. Laughing Cool

Hi Susie!

You may find it even harder to buy Move albums than Hollies ones. I've never seen a Move album for sale apart from a greatest hits and the BBC sessions; good luck though Very Happy

Susie

I've just had a thought...

My cousins' hubby passed away recently and he was in the music business... I know that Rho has an extensive collection of LP's that span the years... She is planning to sell them and I am going to be helping her... I'll check and see if there are any Move albums there....

He played music from the 40's 50's 60's 70's 80's AND 90's so I'll check it out for you.... A lot of the stuff will be collector's items and worth a lot of money... the plan is to sell them off on Ebay or something like that.

If it is an LP, maybe someone will put it onto CD for you.. whatchya fink?

You could try a record importing shop Susie. I know it appeared on a CD called 'looking back......the best of the move'. It was on the Music Club label.

Hi Kathy Exclamation

I had the same thought of going to a shop that does imports. Someone told me about a shop in Sydney called Redeye that apparenly imports stuff so I'll try there. I am also going to try and have The Hollies 6 CD set
imported as well. Smile

And thank you for your idea too Shells, it is much appreciated. Very Happy

Susie, I'll let you know how it goes with the records.... because it's not long since her hubby died, she's fragile but I'll certainly check it out over the next couple of days... If I say I'll do sommat I will..

You SHOULD go for the 5 CD set though... I've got it and it's amazing!

It's sad about Nat...

He was well known in the entertainment world here and did loads for charity... raised THOUSANDS with his WW2 show...

I know he has a lot of Hollies stuff cos he did the music at my daughter's wedding, but if anyone has Move stuff it will be him. He spent his last months meticulously listing all the records... and CD's so I'll speak to Rho and ask her to check it out..

AND I ain't going off topic here either... Laughing

Hello Susie appears on a CD called all the hit singles and more. It's on the crimson label but I think that's exclusive to wooly's.
