In this modern era of 2006, technology has moved on at such a pace that the use of the "Telephone" and in particular, broadband communications, has become quite easy. Wink

You will notice that each interview is scheduled every 15 minutes with the odd break in between.

Those taking part will meet in a studio in London, I presume, and will take each interview via telephone/ISDN (broadband) link.

Some will be recorded for broadcast, perhaps later that day, or another day, and the "Live" ones will go out live as they speak.

As you can see, it is a very busy schedule. This is the best way of doing a lot of interviews in one day without flying around the country!

Hope this clarifies the situation.

Many thanks for that Rob..... I will try and find out about The Billy Butler one that is the nearest one to here. He does a good interview to I have been on his show before with my good friend Bucky Barrett of Roy Orbisons 1980s band.

I emailed a few of the radio stations of the times, days etc.

This is the reply from SAGA 105.7 - W. MIDS 1700 John Darvall:

We hope, all things being equal, they will be with us on Tuesday morning at around 10.20.

Regards

This reply is from Radio Cumbria:

Hello Shelley,

Thank you for getting in touch with The Tony James Show. I'm afraid we ran the interview on Thursday 16th of Feb.
Keep listening to the show.

Kind regards

John Cameron - McIntosh

This is the reply from Rutland Radio:

It’s going out this Saturday morning (25th Feb) at 11.20am

Thanks for your interest

Rob Persani

Presenter, Rutland Radio (I’m doing the interview)

(I hope you don't mind me posting these replies).

Don't know if anyone has caught these interviews yet, but they are quite good.

I didn't know Peter was offered the job after Alan Clarke left, but he was so busy with other projects and contractually he couldn't do it, but asked to have him kept in mind if the job ever came up again.

Judi Spiers played, So Damn Beautiful and Emotions. Tony was interviewd here, says he has about 30 guitars!

Danny Cox played Hope, I missed some of this interview. Peter was interviewed.

Julia Hankin played So Damn Beautiful Peter is asked if he could have any one round for dinner who would it be? He mentions that he would have Cliff.

Bob Brolly played So Damn Beautiful and Suspended Animation, I missed the beginning of this interview as I clicked the wrong link and was listening to old news on their site! Tony and Peter are both there.

Couldn't hear nothing on BBC Humberside as the reception was terrible online.

Missed the beginning of BBC Swindon and Wilts, Tony was interviewed, played Touch Me.

Richard Cartridge played Shine on Me and Emotions, Tony was interviewed.

Some other songs may have been played before the interview which I may have missed because I didn't tune in quick enough from the last interview. These were only the live interviews, not sure of when all the pre recorded interviews will be broadcast yet.

Most of what was talked about was general stuff, how Peter got the job, Tony's influence, he mentioned Hank Marvin as an influence, and says Hank bought a guitar from him. How many guitar's Tony has. They like to play around with the songs, but not with Air that I Breath nor He Ain't Heavy.

After listening to various songs from the album today, I can't wait for the album to be in my cd player now. I am just going to pop back to see if the supplier has sent it to HMV yet, but it's on the way from Amazon.

In case anyone is wondering, no I don't have much else to do at the moment other than sit listening to the radio all day Laughing

Hi Shelly
Yea,i think the quote was that the Hollies made at the time they had Peter is sight for sometime before he joined.

I have not heard anything as of yet! Radio Merseyside I am still waiting to hear back from as I have e-mailed a contact I have there. I will post up once I hear anything back.

There's a competition on Radio Newcastle to meet the lads before they go on stage in Newcastle and to receive a signed album by them, I think there was something else, can't remember.

The question was guessing the name of a song by some lyrics read out

I called in with a guess, I got it right and have now been told I am in a draw, didn't know there was a draw process as well, so I guess I am half way to winning. Wish me luck. Very Happy

Oh yeah to win two tickets to the show in Newcastle Confused

I didn't win, but a lady called Jean did.

Hi Martin,

I think they are in the East Midlands. Here is a link to their hompage:

http://www.saga.co.uk/1066fm/pages/index.asp (you may have to copy and paste).

Amanda also says 'Peter was an absolute delight to talk to – I really liked him and also look forward to playing out the interview!, We’ll play a classic Hollies track and So damned Beautiful because I love the edge it’s got!'

Shelley Very Happy
