Hi,

Does anyone know if Tony Hicks ever gave an interview to the likes of Guitar Player? I saw Bruce Welch of The Shadows interviewed recently so I figured somebody might have talked to Tony at some stage. One of the tour guides has a short interview with him in which he says a few interesting things about guitars.

Any help?

Over the years, Tony has given many interviews to various music mags and has regularly contributed to specialist guitar magazines.

Obviously I do not have them all but I do have some including a six page interview for the mag "Guitarist" from June 1988.

Is "Guitarist" a British magazine and do you know if it is still in print? Maybe I can get a back issue through them.

Yes it is based in the UK but is available elsewhere.

Although it does not seem to have it's own website, I think this is the same mag.

The one I have is from June 1988, Vol 5, Number 1

However, Tony has just done an interview in the November issue of The Beat, a 50's,60's &70's magazine.

This should be easily obtainable from their website.
