Got my copy yesterday and playing it to death, especially "I've Got Time"
A little over mastered but fantastic to have "Time" on CD.
Well worth the money especially as I only paid £10.99 including postage from Woolworths website. |

Certainly worth having. I think I've Got Time is a very strong, "mature" album.
Allan always seemed to have great musicians on his records, the guitar on Blinded By The Light is something else!
I'm not so hot on Headroom but it has some good songs like the rock anthem Drift Away.
Hopefully, somebody will get around to releasing My Real Name Is 'Arold. Possibly his most entertaining all orignal work.

Looks like a great cd, three LP's on the one disc, plus bonus songs, what value. |

If any of you guys out there have never listened to 'If you walked away' or 'Sunrise'
from Allan's 'I've got time' album well then you've never heard Allan at his complete ultimate best.
Just played them of Allans new 2cd set, goosebumps or what......... |

I like "Headroom" more than "I've Got Time" but I haven't heard "Allan Clarke" yet. "Blinded By The Light" is brilliant though. |

Is this a 2CD set or a single CD? Three albums on one CD plus two bonus tracks seems a bit of a stretch to fit into an 80 minute disc... |

Excellent: now all we need is My Real Name Is 'Arold on CD - was this not going to be released on CD in Germany a while back? |

What do you mean by this, Rob? I've noticed a few tracks are a little 'hissy' but it's just great to have remastered versions on CD.
I think the sound is superb, a great improvement on the bonus tracks which were added to the recent 2CD Aura Anthology. Further proof of the superb talent that is Allan Clarke. F-ing marvellous singer. |

As with all CDs made from old records, the engineers insist on remastering the tapes and the mix is slightly diffent from the original.
The two formats are also very different and CD's do not sound the same as vinyl and I believe that the remastering is just a little heavy and has taken something from the clarity of the original record which I played alongside the CD.
The bottom end is very evident on the CD and the music mixed up slightly more making the voice not quite as full frontal as the record.
That is taking nothing away from the quality, the "Time" CD is fantastic, mine is almost worn out!!!
Must get another copy! |

In my limited experience of vinyl records, the top end does appear to be much clearer than on CD. Bugger it, it's just great to have these gems on good quality CD! |
