Any chance the Hollies could get to travel to Iraq or Afghanistan to perform for the brave men and women who are serving there? |

For some reason or other, I don't think there would be a very long q to follow them out there

Gordon, it's not a question of how long a Q might be. This trip would be solely for the entertainment of the troops. |

Yes that's what I thought you meant. It would be a really good gesture. Have any other bands done such a thing? I've heard of comedians going to such areas but never a rock band. |

Hi Gordon and Holliesfan
You talk about that possibly The Hollies can go to Iraq and Aphganistan to play for the troops. Well if is was me I wouldn't go anywhere near those two Countries because they are still fighting over there and people are still being killed and it would be terrible if the fighting starts again while the boys were there and they got hurt or something. That's just an opinion.
Bye for now

Aye b'jings, ah mean the q I refered to above included the stage crew. They'd definately need an army stage crew and army drivers. As I say it's easier to get a single artist to a war zone but I think getting a band there would be a bit more complicated and risky.

Certainly not a rock band, but Chas McDevitt entertained us out in Sharjah in 1967.
