Yeah, I could agree with some of them!
Jonathan Davies, Hetfield, Collins... yes
I don't really like the voice of Steve Nicks but she has written some great songs and she kinda fitted nicely into Fleetwood Mac. |

I think Stevie Nicks fits in well with Fleetwood Mac, don't like her solo material.
Kate Bush had a strange voice.
I was still into the Beatles, Monkees and Hollies for most of the 70's so I didn't really notice what was going on around me. |

RJD was a great singer in Rainbow, although I like Graham Bonnet's style better. |

I couldn't stand Kate Bush, I thought that she had the worst voice in the business and Stevie Ncks, voice was nearly as bad. I didn't like Freddie Mercury or Queen either and hated their song Bohemian Rhapsody.

In any era, Dylan had the worst voice.
As for Queen and Freddie Mercury, while you may not have liked his material (and I don't like a lot of it, either), Mercury had tremendous range and most people think he had a wonderful voice. |

In my opinion, the worst 70's singers were Freddie Mercury, Stevie Nicks, Kate Bush, Phil Collins and Ted Mulry (an Aussie Singer).

Much although I'm no more than a casual fan, Freddie Mercury had an amazing range and power to his voice the likes of which I'd imagine will never be seen in rock music again. |

Can't understand why somebody mentions Freddie Mercury while talking about the worst singers of the '70s...
I love almost all of their '70s recordings. |

I agree, I think Freddie was brilliant, he had a wonderful powerful voice. I was lucky enough to see Queen in 1984, what a fantastic show. |

Hi Cathy,
I didn't mind Ted, I just could not understand how anybody could like Jimmy Barns. I don't think he knew how to sing, does a great scream.
Our Johnny, sorry that's John Farnham liked to scream far too much also, but when he did sing has a great voice.
Bye,
Anthony |

Hi Anthony
That's one I left of my list of worst 70's singers. I didn't like Jimmy Barnes all that much either, his singing did sound more like screaming didn't it
I remember seeing Jimmy with his band Cold Chisel in about 1976 when they were support act for Sherbet and they sounded worse live than they did on record.
