Not a review but just a short note to say how much I enjoyed Saturday's show in the Cliffs Pavilion. I hadn't seen the band for about five years and I was delighted at how they looked and sounded. The setlist was pretty much as I expected although Dolphin Days didn't make an appearance.
I don't know if I have been going to too many loud gigs recently but I thought the sound was quite low to begin with. The harmonies were a joy to listen to and the boys are evidently in great form. Bob made his way to the front to say a few words, always a treat.
As Peter pointed out, Bob and Tony have kept the Hollies leviathan going for fifty years and have toured every year in those fifty. Is there any other band who can claim this? |
