Liverpool gig last night was amazing. Tony was just fantastic. My 19 year old son came with me and he was so impressed by Tony. He loved the whole performance and would definitely go again. I asked him how old he thought Tony was and he said 50 - hope that's made your day Tony if you read this Thanks so much guys for a wonderful evening |

it was wonderful to meet you and all the other great hollies fans to, I've really enjoyed the last two days, two brilliant shows in Liverpool and Nottinham, the band members were so friendly, particular Peter and Bobby, a real credit to the band and the music industry. |

Great to see you rob, thanks to this site I have met so many really nice people over here, keep up the great work. The bands sounding as good as it ever has. A couple of changes to the set, loved the inclusions, as I don't want to spoil the party I'll let you find out at the shows. The lads are in top form. |

We had seats in Tier 1 in Nottingham on Saturday and could see a small girl in the stalls. Peter asked her if her Mum had told her she was going to a "One Direction" concert then he told her Mum that she was bringing her daughter up well by bringing her to a Hollies concert! Later on Peter told us that his brother was in the audience.
The whole evening was a fun and relaxed time including Ian going "walk-about" with his tambourine! He "stole" the rose that was given to Peter at the end of the concert but the last we saw of the flower was Ray waving it in the air as he left the stage!
I never liked "King Midas in reverse" very much until I heard Steve's version-and what a brilliant guitarist he is!
What can I say about Tony and Bobby except to repeat Peter's words that they are true legends.
A couple we were talking to before the show started said they hadn't seen the Hollies for many years but had been told about the brilliant musicianship of the current line-up. If anyone reading this is like these people then if at all possible get yourselves tickets if the autumn tour is coming to a theatre near you!
I'll close with the words my husband says after every Hollies concert -"they just keep getting better!" |

. Hi Emily, it sure was a brilliant concert, funny I was sitting next to that little girl, nice to see both peter and Steve make a fuss of her. Funny I was the same about king Midas, Steve does such a great job with his lead singing as well as his brilliant guitar work. The show before in liverpool the band made fun of Ian for not walking up to the upper levels, the hollies concerts just offers so much. I've had a brilliant few nights, thanks all |

Stop the press..... I have booked my ticket for the hollies Glasgow show, I was wanting to go to Scotland for a few days, then thought why not link it to a hollies show. I'm staying at the citizenM Hotel for two nights Thursday and Friday. Hope to catch some of you there |

I decided quite late to go to Nottingham over the weekend. Much travelling on two days, but it was worth it.
Thanks Rob, for your help, and for taking the time to talk to me. Always a pleasure.
Nottingham seems to be a really interesting town with beautiful old buildings. I wish I could come back some day whith more time for sightseeing.
Thanks Anthony, for the nice chat and for helping me with the photos. A pleasure to meet you! Have a good time in Scotland!
I really enjoyed the show, of course, and afterwards I got the chance to say hello to Bobby for the first time! That was very special.
Nice talking to you too Carole, and Ian and Peter.
And Knut, I heard that you were going to see Crosby Stills and Nash! It would be really interesting to read a (short) review of that concert, if possible.
Hope to see you all some other time. |

That "Little Girl" was my seven year old granddaughter........called Holly.
Steve asked her her age and then said that she would not know the words to the song he was about to sing...King Midas.
What do you think her favourite Hollies song is.................yep, it's King Midas.
You could not write a script for this.
She had a great night, again, as this was not her first Hollies concert.
Here is a short review from the local paper
And here are a couple of pics of Holly. The blue one has Anthony in the background and the Big Red Seat is backstage in the dressing rooms.
