Photographer to the Stars, Harry Goodwin has died after a short illness aged 89.
He was the resident photographer at BBC's Top of the Pops from 1964 to 1973 and he captured all of the stars including The Hollies, The Beatles, Bob Dylan, Jimi Hendrix, The Rolling Stones, Michael Jackson and countless others.
Virtually all of the still photographs used on TOTP throughout its most popular time were taken by Harry. Remember those large background shots of bands as they were playing or as the dancers were in full swing!
He also became a spots star photographer and captured many of the greats in their heyday, including Mohammed Ali and he became friends with Sir Alex Ferguson.
He would often turn up at a Hollies gig and loved to reminisce about the "old days"
