Along with the single there should be a video. Now I'm no producer, but if I was, I would have the old frames of Allan starting the song off, and then move onto the performers of the day! But whatever happens, I'm sure it will be a success. Very Happy

WHY would McCartney play a guitar solo, when Tony Hicks is part of the project? And don't get me started about using another drummer (see clip)..... and not, Bobby Elliott! As always the talents of The Hollies are underappreciated!!!!!!!

Lark, I agree with you. And the article never even mentions that the two Hollies are involved. It's infuriating!

The Janice Long show which began just after midnight on the 23rd November -(www. bbc.co.uk/radio2)- has an interview with Peter Hooton 14 minutes into the programme. 10 minutes later Janice played the new single which had a great response from her listeners.
The different voices of the "superstars" did sound good and I really hope the single gets to number 1 and makes lots of money for the charity BUT....
Both Allan and Peter sound better than the harmonica player, the drums definitely needed the "Elliott" touch and why wasn't the man who found the song asked to play lead guitar?

You would think it was an obvious choice to get the expert drummer and guitarist to play on the track !!! Anyway, here's an updated BBC version of the video. At least The Hollies keep getting a mention, which can only be good.
