I am sure it is just a coincidence, but is Trevor Hicks (The spokesman for the Hillsborough families) any relation to Tony? I ask this as just heard Hillsborough written by Tony, and clear there is a lot of feeling behind
the song. |

Someone told me that there was a connection but I don't remember exactly what it was or if Trevor is related. Probably Geoff would know. |

I was at that game in 1989, together with my wife and son who was just 10 years old at the time. Thankfully, we left the stadium unscathed.
It's an experience you want to forget but can't.
Full marks should go to Trevor Hicks and the families of the 96 for their dedication and perserverence over the last 23 years.
You just can't believe the extent of the cover-up by the authorities. |

I've just watched the start of the football on TV - Everton v Newcastle, and I've got tears in my eyes- before the kick off, the crowd and players did a couple of minutes applause for the 96 Liverpool fans who lost their lives - and they played He Ain't Heavy along with it. |
