I would love to hear if anyone went to the concerts at Belfast and Dublin over the weekend and how it all went - did the lads do any new/different songs??

I went to Worthing yesterday to do a 'test run' for the concert next month. Just before we got into the town centre, we saw a Hollies poster and we both screamed 'Looooook'! a good job we were in the car, so no one else heard us! There were quite a few Hollies posters around, we'd never seen them advertised so much - hope it's a good turn out for them, we'll be there anyway Cool

I was at both shows. Very Last Day and Stewball were performed at both shows. I've certainly never seen Stewball in any set-list before. Not sure full lighting rig brought over to Ireland. Seemed a bit sparse though the Dublin venue was restricted by the presence of paying punters in the choir stalls behind the band. No merchandise stall at either gig. First half in Belfast not more than 45 minutes. Show just short of two hours. Seemed longer in Dublin. Perhaps more chat. Full house of about 1300 in Dublin. Guessing similar or greater number in Belfast at a bigger venue which was not sold out. Band in better form in Dublin. More interaction with the audience. Though they were well received in Belfast too. Heavy and Air in that order the end. Followed by Let Love Pass. Last time I looked there were two home videos shot from second row in Dublin posted on You Tube. Heavy and Peter's solo Bottom (as I like to call it).

We were at both shows too. Had a thoroughly enjoyable weekend. I thought the Belfast concert was great but the Dublin concert was fantastic. I've waited well over 40 years to hear Stewball sung live and it was well worth the wait. I'll write a full review as soon as I get time - hopefully this weekend.

I really enjoyed the Dublin show. Great to see such a big crowd. I hope that will tempt them back next year. I did notice the lack of a merchandise stand and the generic stage setup but that didn't distract one bit from the performance!

I've sent a full review to Rob which Im sure will be uploaded in the coming days.

Many thanks Mervyn, John and Micheal. I'm looking forward to hearing Very Last Day if they do it over here and also to having my mind changed about Stewball.

Your mind will be changed tout suite Dawn - Very impressed with Stewball in Oslo, Belfast and Dublin. I think, considering they kept Day and Stewball in for the irish gigs, no reason to think that will change for the forthcoming UK Extravaganza ( here's hoping anyway )

Carrie Anne (Carole): Are you the Hollies secretary/public affairs? I am just asking. You must have a portfolio of pictures of the group? Looking forward to your review or write-up? Maybe, a photo or two.
