The Hollies are recording four tracks in the studio tomorrow, Thursday 9/12/10, for playing on the QVC TV channel on Friday, I beleive at 9.00 am and 6.00 pm.
You can find QVC TV on:
Virgin TV:channel 740
Sky Digital:channel 640
Freeview:channel 16
Freesat:channel 800
There is also currently playing quite a nice advert for the Friday shows on the channel, so do take a look if you can.
Regards |

Thanks, Rob.
Here's a link to a YouTube ad for the appearance:

Thanks for the info Rob (and also the Christmas greetings ). I was surprised about the shopping channel appearance, but for purely selfish reasons it was fantastic to see the guys (minus Ian) do She'd Kill For Me and I Would Fly, as well as Air and Heavy, loved it. |

I hadn't realised that QVC was such a big deal. turning over £1 million a day. I understand that John Barrowman sold 1000 cd's in 3 minutes, and these sales count towards the charts.
I would be interesting if Rob could let us know if the slot is regarded as a commercial success. Musically it certainly was.

oops ... I started a thread in the out on the road
topics section having misconstrued a television studio
appearance by The Hollies, as them being "out on the road"
I apologize for any confusion or inconvenience
Sorry. I'll just hush now. |

No need to be so apologetic, Lou, but that was the third thread on the same subject so I just grouped them together. It is far easier to follow the one thread rather than three. |

thanks bro'
I'm still abuzz about the excellent videos.
Hoping the appearance is a success for all involved
and that it leads to future appearances. |

Thanks vm for the links Delia. I don't think they were put out on air? I don't remember those conversations. Perhaps QVC will add the rest at a later date? I remember a conversation about where they originally came from, and either Bobby or Tony said "We've got some 'southerners' now!" |

Several minutes of their chat was on air because I recorded the whole programme and was going to put it on YouTube, but I had a feeling that QVC would put it on because they seem to put the interviews/chat and songs on, so I'll delete what I had copied now it's all on YouTube.
Having watched the QVC programme, I noticed the guys sang The Air That I Breathe and She'd Kill For Me, wearing 'casual' clothes but QVC has put He Ain't Heavy and I Would Fly, on YouTube with them wearing their smart striped ties and dark shirts they wore when I saw them in Edinburgh... so the live QVC show only showed us half of what they have put on YouTube, so WELL DONE TO THEM for sharing it!! |

Yes, thanks to QVC for putting those interviews out. It was good to hear the guys are still up for touring, particularly when Peter mentioned the loyal fans who come to the shows "and long may they continue to do so" Certainly will! |
