Hi Gordon,
Thanks, you know how to rub it in. I can remember every concert, what about you? You must have seen some brilliant shows over the years.
I know Carl is fantastic but I do feel sorry for the fans who never got to see Allan, he was really special. No this is not another Carl v Allan.
Are you going to any more shows this tour Gordon?
Did you see the Hollies sing Please Please Me?
Bye for now mate, |

Hi Anthony. I'm sorry, I couldn't resist it. I was really just trying to point out it's not just the English who are lucky. For memories these days I've either got to get the old tour books or photo albums out to try and remember where I was and when. There are many I can remember offhand. I did see the band doing 'Please Please Me'. They did it in 93 during the acoustic set. By the time they got to Pwhelli in Wales in November 93, the acoustic section (especially 'Please Please Me') was getting wilder than the electric numbers. All being well, I hope to be at the last 3 or 4 shows on the autumn tour.
All the best

G'day Gordon
Wow You've seen The Hollies well over 100 times, that has to be a record for attending concerts for the one band (you lucky lucky guy). I am sorry for saying the English are lucky to have The Hollies in their Country so I will re-phrase it and say that The British are lucky to have the band in/near their Country/Region.
All The Best
Susie

Hi Gordon,
Over 100 times and I don't even hate you Well maybe just a little bit.
Actually, you are handy to have around, I consider you our resident historian.
Actually, I'd be upset if you had the chance to see the boys and did not.
All The Best

I guess my favourite show was seeing the Hollies in Nottingham Royal Concert Hall 10. May 1985. They got a standing ovation, Allan's voice was brilliant, the band did a lot of joking, I had a wonderful time!
I also met up with Rob at this time, spoke to Allan before the show, and Bobby after, just fabulous! |

Hi Knut
I remember it well. They sang "Too Many Hearts Get Broken" that night.
It was a great show and it was also my future wife, Lesley's, first Hollies concert.
It is a good job she enjoyed the show so much and liked the band or we may not have married |
