I heard that Phil Everly wrote? and sung The Air That I Breathe and that the Bay City Rollers were going to record it with the idea of releasing it but they didn't get to record it as The Hollies had already released their version.
Anyone know how true this is?

Phil Everly recorded the song first (he is not the writer). It was an album track, and pretty darn obscure.
Tony Hicks found it, and the rest is history. |

| The Air That I Breathe was written by the songwriting team of Albert Hammond and Mike Hazlewood. I didn't know that the Bay City Rollers were going to record it though. |
