Wed 24th march Leeds Grand Theatre, i think might be the best hollies performance i have seen, as usual i take group of people to the show who all agree was a great show.
when i first saw peter howarth soon after the death of carl wayne iwas not sure if his voice was going to be strong enough for the lead, but i must say he fitted in better every time i saw him, hitting what iwould say perfect last night and what convinced me early on was how he now tackles the baby he has managed to get that gravel into the song that Rickfors along with his twang produced.
All the songs and music was of the highest standards you could expect as was the audience who were in good form , i think the band sensed this and made the night very special.
i usually come out of the theatre with one of the songs going round my head this time it was dolphin days the guitar intro is some thing else.
The hollies are still performing to the highest standards and long may they continue. |
