Hi!
Yesterday I watched the Swedish quiz-programme "På spåret" (On track), where they "travel" to different towns, and one of the towns this time was Manchester. Among other things they showed pictures of Salford Quays, from where I have fond memories of seing the Hollies at the Lowry in April.
The musical question included three songs performed by the band, and they asked for the groups behind the songs. The second song was "He Ain't Heavy..."!!
I was so pleased to hear it, but a bit disappointed when the first team said that they recognized the song, but had no idea who sang it. The second team did answer "The Hollies" , but added that it was a guess, and they weren't even sure the group was from England!
The leader of the programme added that Mikael Rickfors once used to be a singer with the Hollies. |
