G'day Everyone Exclamation

Today I was in a music shop looking through some CD's that were going for $6.95 when I came across a Hollies album I have never heard of and yes, I did buy it. It is called The Hollies A,s, B's & EP's and has some of their 60's hits with some B sides and some songs from their EP records. It has an orange cover which is a little booklet of 8 pages (counting the front and back covers).

On the front it says: Extended Play 45 r.p.m Record Mono The Hollies A's B's & EP's as well as the names of some of the tracks and 3 small photos with Graham and Eric and it looks like they were taken in the recording studio. And the CD itself is orange with no writing on it.

The tracks on it are as follows:

Just Like Me, Hey What's Wrong With Me, Searchin', Whole World Over, Stay, Just One Look, Keep Off That Friend Of Mine, Talkin' Bout You, Lucielle, Here I Go Again, Baby That's All, I'm Alive, You Know He Did, Honey And Wine, Mickey's Monkey, I Can't Let Go, Look Through Any Window, I've Got A Way Of My Own, So Lonely, Stop Stop Stop, It's You, On A Carousel, All The World Is Love, Carrieanne.

Has anyone heard of or perhaps have this CD in their collection Question

I'll admit that I am a Hollies fanatic and will collect anything Hollies even if it is a compilation CD.

All The Best

Susie

I'm pretty certain that I have seen this CD in Lost In Music in Glasgow, Gordon. It's not go any post-Nash stuff on it, that's for sure.

Rob, howz about yet another compilation....

...this time including the hard-to-come-by 70's B-sides - an improved version of the Singles A's and B's 1970-1979?

Rather than the millionth outing of Sorry Suzanne or Stop Stop Stop?

You know it makes sense!

I think it may be a series that EMI are putting out. They have also put out Herman's Hermits A's, B's and EP's. So it is not solely a Hollies only release. But yes........another compilation.

Hi Kathy Exclamation

You thought right, this Hollies A's, B's, and EP's is one of a series because it has on the back cover of the little booklet that there are A's B's and EP's by other artists of the 60's available.

These artists are: Freddie And The Dreamers, Herman's Hermits, Gerry And The Pacemakers, The Seekers, Adam Faith, The Animals, The Shadows, Manfred Mann and Helen Shapiro.

Anthony, I did get the CD for a great price but $15 is good too when I think about the price they charge for some CDs.

I'm going to see if I can find the CD's by The Seekers, Herman's Hermits, Manfred Mann and Gerry And The Pacemakers.

All The Best

Susie

Hi.
when I read the songs you listed I got the chills! I have the forty-five of Look Through Any Window which has the song, 'So Lonely' as a 'b' song -
Just can't put into words what that song has meant to me over these many years

Nice collection; bought mine in the UK in June. Nothing on it I didn't have but, hey, I was in London... Plus, there is one song it contains that I previously had just one other copy of - in the realm of Hollies collections, that's virtually like having a new song. So I can now say that every version of "Honey and Wine" I own has been purchased on Oxford Street. Laughing

Grey Owl: Where in Ontario do you live? A good friend of mine just emigrated a few months ago to The Netherlands from Thunder Bay - you know, that Lake Superior city on the very fringes of civilization. She always use to lament the lack of fellow Canadians in the various Hollies forums...
