Best wishes to Bobby for a speedy recovery. Speaking from personal experience, I know that a dislocated shoulder is very painful and takes a long time to heal. |

Hi all,
As we know Bobby has missed the odd concert from time to time due to sickness, now can anybody tell me if Tony Hicks ever missed a show.
Thanks,
Anthony |

It took me a few moments to figure out that "DIY" meant "Do It Yourself."
That a new acronym for me. |

Hi Anthony
I've been watching the Hollies for over 40 years and I cannot remember Tony Hicks ever missing a show. |

Bobby is well on the road to recovery and is undergoing physio to get him ready for the gig in Antwerp next month.
This self pic was taken a couple of weeks ago.

Thanks for the photo, looks like it would have been really sore, great to see he's well on the way to a full recovery. |

Wow, it must have been painful. Hope Bobby recovers in time for Antwerp.
Incidentally, Bobby got a nice mention from Frank Allen of the Searchers who were also on the bill at Hamburg. Here is an extract:
"The Hollies were also were on the bill, but only just, as drummer Bobby Elliott had fallen from a ladder at his home the day before and dislocated his shoulder. Rather than let the promoter and the audience down they accepted the offer from Suzi Quatro`s drummer to step in for the night. A daunting task indeed with very little time for rehearsal but he was brilliant and did not put a stick wrong. We hope Bobby recovers very quickly."

Thanks for that John.
Gosh that looks so painful and sore. But that was two weeks ago so hopefully the bruising has dispersed somewhat and Bobby is feeling a little better. Antwerp is about 30 days away, you can do it mate. Get well soon Bob and knock seven cans out of those skins in Europe-Lots of Luv and Best Wishes for a Speedy Recovery- Carrie Anne xx |

Hi there
I was just logging in to wish Happy Birthday to two of our other members, when I read about Bobby. I don't get much time to drop into the site these days, so forgive me for just finding out.
Dearest Bobby
Sorry to hear of your mishap, hope you are feeling much better. Not a pleasant thing to happen. My prayers for you.
Love Christine |
