It was nice to chat with you too, I hope you'd come to HH more often. I'm there almost every day (every morning for USA, sorry I can't remember the time difference with Australia Wink). See you soon Smile

Yes that's right Tanya, it was a huge hit here in Australia, I love it becauce it's rock'n'roll and great to dance to. Another favourite is Too Young To Be Married, even a bigger hit here, got to number 1. What about you?

Well, I love their earlier songs. I like the whole "Butterfly" album, "Pegasus" is my fave at the moment. I also enjoy their "Hollies" and "Stay with The Hollies", especially those gentle songs like "I thought of you last night" or "Heart Desire". You see, I'm quite a romantic person Smile

Ah, Tanya, great to see another big fan of the Hollies' 60s material. I am more of a rocker than a ballad person, so I tend more toward the earlier decade. But I'll take the band's 70s music over just about any act out there!

It works like this:

1. 60s Hollies
2. 70s Hollies
3. Everyone else!

I'm an American (Iowa), who has developed a unshakable compulsion in recent years (after seeing The Hollies in America in 2002) to cross the Atlantic and see the band in the UK and Germany as often as I can. There may be a cure, but I'm not actively seeking it.

By the way, Anthony is my "twin". Never mind the fact that he is Australian and three years younger than me! Wink

Thanks Bruce for not telling Tanya about how I got to Australia, Mum always said we should keep that in house about me being in chains.

Ah, I wish I could see and hear Hollies live; I'm not sure whether they're going to visit Russia one day Wink Lucky you guys for being able to live this wonderful "Oldies style" life! As for me, I'm used to have problems even w/getting CDs Sad And I'm really glad to be able to communicate with Oldies fans all over the world (Internet is an amazing thing, indeed Smile)!
Well, please never forget about your one and lonely Russian friend who cares for the same music; for I'm always with you (mentally)! Wink
By the way, Anthony, how did you get to Australia? You're intriguing me Wink

Awww, Rob, how can the boys ignore a plea like Tanya's? Crying or Very sad Surely, the Hollies could do a special show in Moscow for her and other Russian fans!
Ahem - after their next tours of America and Australia, of course... Twisted Evil

Tanya, I will let my twin Anthony tell the tale of how he got to Australia. It should be VERY interesting reading indeed! Rolling Eyes

Hi all,
I swim like a rock. Now I came here in chains, a loaf of bread gave me my free trip to Australia, plus I got a free set of PJ's with arrows.
The good half landed in America.
Bye all,
Anthony
