Amazon UK has Another night and Hollies (b/w) sheduled for reissue by EMI on 14. April, available for pre-order now.

Spin CDs write about several bonus tracks on both albums, including unissued material.

Considering the great job done on the last two reissues, I guess we have something to look forward to.

Looks great, but I still prefer the US playing order of "Hollies", which is as follows:
Falling Calling
It's a Shame, It's a Game
Don't Let Me Down
Out On The Road
The Air That I Breathe
Rubber Lucy
Transatlantic Westbound Jet
Pick Up The Pieces Again
Down On The Run
Love Makes the World go 'round
The Day That Curly Billy Shot Down Crazy Sam McGee

Any more info on "Burn Fire Burn", such as who wrote it? I hadn't heard of this track before.

You're not really wondering that, are you?

It's 100 to 1 against those songs being taken from anywhere other than the Live Hits album.

I'm in an optomistic mood, Sparty! Surely EMI could source something from elsewhere and not do a Magic Records on us? Were there not several nights in Christchurch recorded?

I have it from a good source that "Burn Fire Burn" is a Bernie Calvert track, which most likely means it is an instrumental.

Yes, it is an instrumental Bernie-song. Recorded in november 1973.

I can advise that "Burn Fire Burn" is in fact a rare Bobby Elliott composition and has an Allan Clarke Lead Vocal....
....with FULL Clarke-Hicks-Sylvester Harmony vocals.

it is an excellent song too.

It was recorded over 5 - 7 November 1973.

The Song opens:
"When the Cold wind blows and The Fire Glows...."

and has an interesting "Bridge" section: "Two Souls alone..."

Some years ago a guy at a Hollies UK Fan Convention said he "Knew for a fact it was a Bernie Calvert compostion and was an Instrumental track..."

Well it turns out that he was wrong...

Thanks for that, Geoff. So glad to hear that it is in fact a track with vocals. Great news. If it is anything in a league with Bobby's "TransAtlantic Westbound Jet" then we are in for a treat.

Really hope You´re right Geoff! In all documents I´ve read it says that it´s an instrumental Calvert-song. If You´re right, and I suppose You are, then this release is even more amazing!

When was Snow On Heather Moor recorded? Could this not be where the confusion arises?

I do hope we get another two rounds of Geoff's well written liner notes on these two new reissues!
