Hi there!
I was wondering if you all know movies in which Hollies songs are played.
I know the following:
- After The Fox (1966)
- Amores Perros (2000)
- Fai In Fretta Ad Uccidermi... Ho Freddo! (1967)
Does anyone know more titles?

You can see the Hollies sing "Nows the time" in their leather gear in a movie called It's all over town. It's pre Bobby with Don Rathbone on drums, Tony looks about 12 years old,

Okay, correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the movie is called Then & Now? Demi Moore I think was in it...about four childhood girlfriends in the 60s and years later. Didn't actually WATCH the movie, but it was on TV one night a few months back and my ears perked up when I heard "Jennifer Eccles!"

You were close Beebs. The film was called "Now And Then". It was released in 1995 and Jennifer Eccles must have been played during the time of the 1970 flashback scenes.

Hi all,
I'm sure there are more Hollies songs in the movies, I think were have all done well. I used to love Heartbeat the TV show, they played a lot of Hollies songs. I remember at one stage they had a wedding and played the Air that I breathe and there was a little write up in the papers saying it was a 70's song and the makers of the show got it wrong. |

Hi Anthony
I love watching Heartbeat too (when they decide to show it) because I not only think it's a great show, I also love listening to 60's music and when I hear a Hollies song on the show my eyes really light up. I remember that episode where they played 'The Air That I Breathe' which is strange because Heartbeat is set in the 60's and as you pointed out, that's a 70's song (1974 to be exact).
I've also heard other Hollies songs on Heatbeat, Just One Look, Look Through Any Window, Jennifer Eccles and He ain't Heavy.
All The Best
Susie

Hi Susie,
I use to love Greengrass in the show. The music was brilliant from Heartbeat, when I heard a Hollies song I would be over the moon.
Pity the Hollies never made a pop movie in the 60's. |

Hi Anthony
I used to like Claude Greengrass in Heartbeat too, it fascinated me how all of his money making schemes always backfired on him.
I agree, it is a Shame that The Hollies never got to make a movie in the 60's or even the 70's after all The Beatles and Herman's Hermits got to make movies. Oh well can't have everything I suppose.
All The Best
Susie

This dreadful film from 2001 with the equally dreadful Ben Stiller featured nearly a minute's worth of 'He Ain't Heavy' played over a comedy sequence. Highlight of probably the worst ever film I have seen apart from Lost In Space |
