What I've been trying to say for the past 15 minutes is you can't beat old literature for good information about the hollies. With that in mind, if you've not got the 40th Anniversary tour brochure, get one, cos it's packed with vintage articles on the band in the sixties. Another interesting one was either the previous programme or the one before where Bob lists all the hollies gigs and TV appearances in the sixties. It would be good if he could do another one for the seventies. Another good one was when Bob put a list of current tour dates in the programme and informed us what the band had been doing that very night in a year in the sixties or seventies.

Hi Gordon Exclamation

I have the 2003 Hollies book and I love it. I bought from Rob and I will always treasure it. I also have a brochure from the 1976 and another from 1987. Cool

I have a photocopy of the 76 brochure. It's particularly interesting as it gives you a list of songs that the set would be taken from but I have it on good authority that a lot more from the Write On album was performed than what was on the list.

Hi Gordon,
The tour programmes have always been fantastic, I have all the books from the 90's and the two after Carl joined. The oldest I have is from the 76 tour of New Zealand, got that off ebay. Only once in the 5 Hollies shows I've been to have they had tour programmes for sale in Melbourne, that was back in '87.
Bye for now

HI

I've got a tour brochure from one of 25th anniversary tour and it's full of info...

It's Silver and white and there are vellum sheets between each of the articles.. it's got loads of great stuff... I've also got the 1999 one and I think it lists all the records to date on that one.

If truth be told I always make a point of buying the brochure each time I go to a gig.... the 1999 is full of autographs cos guess who was waiting at the stage door... in the cold to see me idols! AND I didnae hae ma crutches to lean on then!

Rob if you are around... how do we get a hold of the 40th anniversary one... I heard tell there is no brochure for this tour and I would love to have one Laughing

Hi Shells Exclamation

Don't worry, Rob will contact you about the brochure. When I first wrote and asked for the book, it took him a few days to reply because he said that he was away for a few days.

All The Best
