Hi All
I was looking through some CDs in a music shop Yesterday when I came across a CD, The Hollies Singles A's & B's, 1970-1979 so I brought it and it is brilliant I know that it is another compilation but I don't care. The Hollies are the best band on The Planet and I love collecting anything on them.
I had a fall and broke my left arm (I am typing this with one hand) and I am now recuperating after my operation and buying and listening to the CD has cheered my up a bit
The tracks on it are
I Can't Tell The Bottom From The Top
Mad Professor Blythe
Gasoline Alley Bred
Dandelion Wine
Hey Willy
Row The Boat Together
Long Cool Woman
Cable Car
The Baby
Oh! Granny
The Day That Curly Billy Shot Down Crazy Sam McGhee
Born A Man
The Air That I Breathe
No More Riders
Star
Love Is The Thing
Hello To Romance
48 Hour Patrol
Something To Live For
Song Of The Sun
All The Best
Susie

Hi Susie,
I have that CD too. I've had it a while now and it is one of my favourite CD's, such a good set of tracks.
Hope your arm heals soon.

Hi David
The Hollies Singles CD is one of my favourites too (now) but I do have one complaint, it doesn't have my favourite song 'Too Young To Be Married' on it.
And thank you David, my arm feels better than it did 2 weeks ago when I first broke it although I still get pain every now and then.
All The Best
Susie

Hi Gordon
Thankyou for the info, that would explain why Too Young To Be Married isn't on my new CD. It is the only Hollies compilation I have that it isn't on (apart from The Hollies At Abbey Road 1966 to 1970) .
All The Best

Hi Susie. Just out of curiosity, is your copy of the Singles CD a new Australian issue or is it an import or a second hand UK copy I think I first got the singles CD in 93 and then in 95 there was a dutch issue of the same CD but under another name. I don't know if you knew, but that CD saw the first appearance of 'Oh Granny' with Allan Clarke on lead vocals. Terry Sylvester sings on the original.
All the best

Hi Gordon,
I also have the A's & B's 1970 - 1979 cd. Mine is an import, I have also seen a different cover with the same songs. My copy is a brown cover, very plain. The other has a photo of the lads with Graham, plus Bobby minus his famous hat. Don't think I have heard Terry singing lead on Oh Granny. |

Hi Gordon and Anthony
I got my Hollies Singles 1970-1979 CD from a music shop in the main Penrith shopping centre (last Friday) and it is the same one as yours with the plain brown cover Anthony, so if yours is an import then I suppose that mine must be too. I hope that answers your question Gordon.
All The Best
