That'll be Ian Harrison (looking rather like Morrisey from The Smiths). I don't think he's that bad, they could have done worse. What was the connection between him and the Hollies - how did they find him?

I have a question about the bonus material, though. Who's the lead singer with the, ahem, unusual hairstyle singing with Hicks and Coates? Was he a sort of "fill in" singer between the time Clarke retired and Wayne joined up? The guy certainly was an unlikely choice for the group, with his so un-Hollies haircut and, frankly, limited vocal range.

The guy is Ian Harrison. He stood in for Carl when he was taken ill. Those clips are from Clumber Park in Worksop (I was actually there!). I believe he had been used once before but I'm not sure when.

I would also like to express my sincere thanks to Keith for making the DVD. I had seen the show in poor picture quality before, but this was just perfect!

As others have written, this is the way a true Hollies fan helps others, in the true spirit of the band and several of the songs they play.

A Big thank you Keith, mine arrived today. You have made one Australian Hollies fan very happy, thanks also for the extra music clips, a few I had never seen, I really enjoyed the one they did at in the guys garden.
Thanks a million, it was very kind of you to help us all.
Anthony

I'm having an interesting experience. I'm trying to duplicate the disc I received, both to serve as a backup and also to send to another Hollies fan I know.

Well, my software can't duplicate it. I've tried the regular disc copy program that came with my computer, that can duplicate non copy-protected software. That one says that the file format is one that it doesn't recognize. Then, I tried the infamous "DVD Shrink" program that can usually copy onto my hard drive any copy-protected DVD (for archival purposes only, of course). That program gives me an error message. Then, I tried just copying the files from the DVD onto my computer's hard drive through Windows explorer, figuring that I'd come up with some kind of way to master the video files onto a DVD once they were on the hard drive. That failed, too. Finally, I tried to use the Roxio disc copying software that came with my computer at work. That software failed as well.

All this is true even though the disc plays fine on my home DVD player, which tells me the disc isn't physically damaged.

As a last resort, I'm loaning the disc to someone here at my workplace who works with video and graphics as a part of her job. She had similar problems with some video that we received from Europe that we're using in a promotional campaign, but she told me that some of her special software eventually let her work with that imported video. So, I'm hopeful that she can help me out.

I guess what I'm saying is that for those of you folks in the US who have a copy of the BBC show, don't be surprised if can't duplicate it yourselves. So, keep your disc safe and protected in a good jewel case, as it's pretty much irreplaceable.

If you have a VCR connnected to your DVD player, try transferring it to tape, then again to DVD. It might work.

Sure, that would work, except that I'd lose a lot of resolution. Rather than that, I'd try to send KP money to see if he would create extra digital copies for me directly from the source material.

My copy did not play on my relatively new DVD recorder, but worked fine on the older DVD player.
