All solo albums by Rickfors that were originally on vinyl have subsequently been reissued on CD, so you should look out for those. If you see few of them on Ebay US, remember there is a European version of Ebay, based in Ireland, Ebay.ie. I would also try Amazon.de (German) if you do not find much on Amazon.com or Amazon.co.uk. |
So, Knut, can you give a breakdown of which releases are in English and which ones are not? |

Here are my Rickfors CDs:
Mikael Rickfors CBS Austria 1989 (vinyl 1975)
The wheel CBS Holland 1989 (vinyl 1976)
Kicking a dram Sweden Sonet 1990 (vinyl 1979)
Hearthunters Sweden WEA 1992 (vinyl 1985)
Rickfors Sweden KGR 1986 - one Swedish song
Vingar Sweden Little big apple 1988 - all Swedish songs (hit biggest hit in Sweden)
Judas river WEA Germany 1991 (includes his song about his time with Hollies)
Happymandontkill Sonet Sweden (?) 1997
Lush life Sonet/Universal EU 2004
In addition there are a few compilations, plus two with Grymlings (in Swedish). All albums above with no language note are in English.
Hope this helps. |

Probably my favourite. Sailors Of The Heart is an excellent song, I've done a brief review thingy elsewhere on this messageboard. |

I'm having a hard time tracking down Mikael Rickfors (1975), The Wheel, and Kickin' a Dream. Are these really rare? |

Hi Snowflake!
A quick search on GEMM brought all you miss up, as far as I can see:
http://www1.gemm.com/c/search.pl?field=ARTIST+OR+TITLE&wild=mikael+rickfors&Go%21.x=20&Go%21.y=14
Good luck hunting, and let us know what you get.
There is also a nice live vinyl album by MR, but I haven't seen that on CD.
Btw that search also brought up the unofficial Mikael Rickfors years CD which is quite difficult to get hold of. |

Thanks, Knut! I am hoping to find The Wheel CD for less than $92, or is that impossible??? I was wondering about that live LP as well; haven't seen it on CD.
BTW, has Tender Turns Tuff been released on CD? |

If Rickfors owns the rights to his music, then he clearly should repackage them into CD's and sell them on his website. |
