Picked up the superb 3CD setA Breath of Fresh Air - A Harvest Records Anthology 1969 - 1974 which features the original version of Magic Woman Touch as featured on the band's 1970 album The Going's Easy. Very different to the Hollies version, a much more folky feel to it, probably the acoustic version by the Hollies is the closest to the original rather than the version on Romany.
Nice set, featuring excellent sleevenotes. Plenty of great tunes on there! |

There was also a trio called Robey, Falk, and Bod who had a US Epic LP that contained a version of "Magic Woman Touch", and it was also released as a single, after The Hollies' version had already charted. Funny, the same song by two different groups on the same label in the same year. |
