Thanks James...perhaps you're TO GOOD... . Can you please tell me what the Region Code is on the Dutch Collection DVD? Here in the US most players are set to Region 1. Again, a big thank you! ...I will check out these sites in the meantime. |

Many concert DVDs are coded as all regions. This is also the case with the new Dutch collection DVD. The only problem one can experience in the USA or Japan, may be that the DVD is made for PAL TV. But I believe modern DVD players and TV sets can show both PAL and NTSC, at least we do this in Europe. |

I have a Samsung V4600 DVD Player. Yesterday I called the Samsung Support Group and they told me the DVD would more than likely NOT play due to the Region difference...I guess I'll just have to wait and see when it arrives. |

Ah, woe is me...the Dutch Collection does not play on my Samsung DVD player .
However, the good news is that it does play on my Mac Pro computer. It is an awesome collection of video footage and I've enjoyed watching all 148 mins or so of it. Now if I can only execute the transfer from PAL to NTSC format I will be in seventh heaven. I had a place that said the could make the transfer but they reneged due to worries over copyright infringements, which I can understand. I just have to keep searching for somewy to make the conversion. |

Dear Holliesfan!
DO NOT BUY AN ALL REGIONS DVD PLAYER or make your excisting player into an all regions player to play the Dutch Hollies DVD. The disc is in fact all regions, the only problem you have is that your DVD player only plays NTSC discs (or it may be your TV). This is the old problem we also had with VHS video.
What you need is a combined PAL/NTSC player and a PAL compatible TV:
Good luck! |

Holliesfan, I think your existing TV should work -- mine does. But Knut is right, you need a DVD player that will play both PAL and NTSC discs. |

Does anyone has the live DVD promoted on the Hollies' web site?
Is it somewhere mentioned on this forum?

Hi Ro-Robert. I presume you mean the DVD the"Live from the Sports Palais, Antwerp" concert? if so, yes I have a copy of this. You can find some reviews and comments on this DVD if you go into the folder "Words and Music" and then look for the heading "Hollies Live DVD".
Hope this helps
Cheers Ray |
