If Leo Sayer had recorded 'Star' it would have been a top ten hit. Can you just imagine the man's antics while performing it Question Very Happy This is actually a continuation of my post re 76 brouchure but as you can see it would have been off topic. What other hollies songs do fans think other artists could have taken into the charts Question

I think you are right Leo could have done a great version of "Star"
One thing is for sure he would have got more air play.

It's an interesting question, but looks like I'm not the only one who doesn`t have any suggestions. Maybe it's because the Hollies' songs all sounded that special, that you cannot imagine somebody else doing them (better). LCW perhaps still might do it by somebody else and Write On would have deserved it, but can't name somebody to perform it. It's a lot easier the other way round: to name songs that could be well done by the Hollies, but that's a different topic.

Hi Gordon Exclamation

I mean no disrespect to Leo Sayer but if he or anyone else did 'Star' it probably wouldn't be as good as our boys' version, Cool although I must admit that it would be interesting to see what Leo could do with the song. Smile
