Hi all,
I read on a different site that Freddie from Freddie and the Dreamers has sadly passed away at the age of 69. That band really made music into a fun form with Freddie jumping all over the stage.
I have a few video clips of Freddie and the Dreamers and they always bring a smile to my face when I see them. It's not hard to see why we all love the 60's, they were special times.
Okay everybody "Do the Freddie"

I recently saw a performance of Freddie & The Dreamers that was televised on Hullabaloo, a 1960's U.S. program not unlike Shindig. The audience didn't what to make of his on-stange dancing. Frankie & Annette, the guest hosts of the program, learned how to "do the Freddie" with him.
He was an amusing and entertaining guy. |

Would that be Frankie Avalon & Annette Funicello? Did I really buy those American magazines all those years ago? Why? Because there were no equivalent publications produced on this side of the pond. Or does anyone know different?

Shame Freddie won't be "diving about" anymore....I saw him with a bunch of very young "Dreamers" in a Trade Union club years ago...but not many of their acts could boast of having been on "The Ed Sullivan Show" ! |
