Any truth or official word that there is to be an official archival DVD release next month from the band. Supposedly featuring some TV rarities.

??

Hi,
When I see these topics my heart skips a beat, I hope this is true, it would be wonderful to get an official DVD of the lads in action, put me down for a copy.

It would be nice if someone in a position to know could be approached to confirm or deny. Otherwise, this rumor just might go 'round and 'round until it self destructs. So the overreaching question is who's in the know? Could Rob possibly lend some creedence to this positive sounding rumor?

I have read on "Another" forum that an "official" Hollies DVD called "Touch" will be issued on 17 February 2007 comprising 26 song clips, including items such as "Son of a Rotten Gambler" [from "Sez Les" with Les Dawson...a genuine clip I remember watching at the time],plus the promo film of "I'm Down"....
That is what I have seen today coming from an "Australian source..."

I'll be keeping my fingers crossed to see this truly official DVD out. So far we only have all the compilations with various artists, the DVD EP and the semi-official He ain't heavy on Veo Star. (By the way, the latter has a 2.1 sound, which means your subwoofer will be working, this you never see on the bootleg DVDs that flood us).

In my opinion an official DVD will push a lot of the bootleg DVDs out of market, so I hope it gets out.

Thanks for the compliment, Geoff!

Your reviews in Carousel are really informative and analytical, I always look forward to them.
I can send you one or several Veo Star DVDs if you like, just give me the number of items you want. I can bring them to Nottingham, if you don't want to pay extra postage or you can give me your adress in a private message.

I tend to believe these things when I actually am holding the release in my hand !!!

I don't have any further info on the proposed "Official" DVD other than the two songs mentioned, but it will hopefully be 60's and 70's hits etc.
Does anyone else know about this ?

This seems very like what was being described. I hope it does include some rare stuff like I'm Down And Rotten Gambler.
