This was on the Abbey Road album and the writer is listed as unknown even to The Hollies

It's a fantastic song, very thoughful lyrics - I tried a websearch but came up with nothing, maybe Rob knows?

No, as chig says above, the Abbey Road 1973-1989 booklet lists the writer as unknown.

Maybe this is why it was left off the album in the first place.

Thankfully it did come out later, fantastic ballad.

I've wondered about this song too. Great vocal.

The Abbey Road CDs threw up some great surprises like this and Samuel.
