Any buzz in Hollies-land related to the band doing another album? It would be a shame if they don't go back into the studio to give it another try.

I think it's a little bit too early for asking for another album. Even new artists normally only release an album every two years or so and the Hollies as an oldie-band will probably take much more time till they'll record another album... if they ever do so.

A live album would make more sense (we've been asking for this for well over a decade), or perhaps a two disc live plus new material in the future...that is if EMI can be bothered Rolling Eyes

I agree James. However, I personally have this sinking feeling that EMI makes every attempt to NOT market the Hollies to their fullest extent. It's a total shame when one considers the body of product the band has contributed to the music industry over the years. It appears EMI takes the "what have you done for me lately" approach to the business. Oh by the way, I too would love to see a combined "live" plus new material album make it's way to the shops. Maybe then(and only then) might EMI reconsider promoting a new album.....hey, miracles do happen!

The truth is, EMI have bigger fish to fry...

The Hollies are consigned to the back catalogue as far as they are concerned. Anyway, been over this ground many times before. Surprise us EMI.

Hi - I think Magic are a specialist reissue label only, but perhaps a smaller label might be the way forward. I recently bought reissues of the Barclay James Harvest back catalogue which are put out by Eclectic Discs rather than Polydor and the quality is impressive: beautifully presented and excellent remastering. Unfortunately, I think Eclectic are, like Magic, a reissue label only.

I suggest Sanctuary, like Crosby-Nash did last time.

But the Eclectic label issue new material, too, like Męstoso did recently (Wooly Wolstenholme's solo band).
