This was a quick poll after I was asked the question by Bobby Elliott, "do our Hollie friends have two definite favourites".

I think the answer is required urgently because a decision has to be made.

As you have said Shelly on the Yahoo forum, of the 264 members, only 24 have voted and that includes 3 from my household.

So there you have it - 21 votes worldwide puts everything into perspective. Even if the whole 267 members had voted, it is debatable which 2 songs would come out on top. I feel it would probably not change the result.

So the two songs I tell Bobby are "Suspended Animation" followed by "Prove Me Wrong"

Since I have yet to receive my copy of Staying Power, my vote for "So Damn Beautiful" still stands. However, I guess that track will never see the light of day on the singles chart based on what I've read in this forum. What a "Damn" shame. Sad

I did not vote as I have not bought the CD yet. My only thought is that the poll was taken too soon after the release date. People on this forum live worldwide so they wont have much chance of getting a copy yet.

I'm in total agreement Rob. Can someone please explain this sense of "urgency"?

Rob- As relates to your earlier post, what "decision needs to be made"?

I don't know.

I said "I think the answer is required urgently because a decision has to be made."

If I knew more I would tell you.

Got my copy yesterday, the best song on the album is not one we can vote on,
Hope.

Holliesfan and Anthony, as So Damn Beautiful and Hope could not be voted on, as they have already been released so therefore cannot be released again, what would your second choices have been from the choices given Question.

Rob, I hope a decision is not made in the wrong direction by Bobby and the rest of the Hollies based on just 24 votes Very Happy .

Hi everyone just new to this forum. I have had my copy of "staying power" for about 6 days now. Every time I listen to the album I find a new favourite. I do really like "Break Me" but my instincts tell me that "Suspended Animations" would make a good choice for a single. Simply because it has a lot of character and does definately have that good time vibe about it. So I have voted for this song. By the way I live in New Zealand and did manage to pick up a copy of "So Damn Beautiful" the CD single with "Too much Too Soon" as the second track.

Is there a website where I can go to order the "So Damn Beautiful"/"Too Much Too Soon" CD? I've already ordered "Staying Power" from Amazon.com(U.S.) but the single CD was not available...Thanks!

If you go to amazon.co.uk and type in the cd's name, there is an option to buy So Damn Beautiful/Too Much Too Soon from a seller (not amazon).

Al

If you search for the song by it's title you will find it.

I take it from your earlier post that you will be telling me soon that you no longer want me to get the album for you that you asked me about.

Thanks

Rob - All is well here...I've ordered the single CD and album via the Internet. Therefore, I will not be getting them through you. Thanks anyway for offering your assistance. Once I've listened to the album and "Too Much Too Soon" I plan to post a mini review of both. As I mentioned in an earlier thread, I've already heard "So Damn Beautiful" and absolutely love it! I'm confident I will also enjoy many of the other songs on Staying Power. Do you suspect there will ultimately be a "REAL" legitimate single(purchaseable in stores) gleened from the new album? Lastly, any talk about releasing the album in the U.S.? How about a 2007 U.S. tour?
