An excellent gig last night
From what Madeline was telling me about the last Liverpool gig the guys did, this was a very triumphant return- way to go guys! I think they all did very well especially after touring all week (cept Monday and Thursday) and travelling to Ireland; just goes to show how great they are!
Loved the lighting and the video projections as well as I Can't Tell the Bottom From The Top- absolutely amazing. Also Carl, Alan and Tony's Look Through Any Window; pure magic!
Looking forward to seeing the guys again! |

Anyone who was at Liverpool- did the guys play Sandy, I don't think they did but I could've been enjoying the gig too much and just forgotten.

Hi Peej
I'm pleased that you had a great time on Sunday night. I'll look forward to seeing you review of the show You are right the guys are really great entertainers and it is good how they managed to travel for a week and even go to Ireland and back and still perform in Liverpool that night.
And I would also like to know why 'Sandy' was dropped from the shows because I thought that was one song they always performed.
All The Best
Susie

Here we go again Dropping numbers during a tour What I really want to know is has it been replaced with anything else cos if not people are being short changed and that's a scunner

It'd be nice to know why they've dropped Sandy, can you ask 'em Rob
I think the European hits like Sandy, the Baby and Soldier's Song have some of the best Hollies vocal performances by Carl

Hi all,
Sounds like Liverpool was a great show, hear all the banter is back.
Just on the topic of changing the songs on tour, maybe they felt it was not working for some reason. In a way for the concert goers who see many shows from a tour I'm sure they would be happy to have a change around. Now on the other hand, I know if I heard great reports on Too Young to Be Married and they did not do it I would not be happy. So I'm having 50 cents each way on that issue. Hope they bring the screen idea to Australia next year as well as themselves.
Bye, Anthony |

They've dropped How Do I Survive also. I know the reaction to the song seems to be 50/50 but I love it and loved the live version even more. There have been a couple of replacementss Gordon, however nothing that we haven't heard before. I Can't Tell The Bottom From The Top is new to the current line-up, as is the 90's version of Look Through Any Window. I'm glad that's back in - it rules! |

Hi Glenn, I'm not so upset about the dropping of Sandy, but the fact it dosen't seem to have been replaced by another song. The two you mentioned have been in from the start of the tour. If they keep dropping numbers like this, they'll need a support act by the time they reach Aberdeen
