Is there any chance the Hollies might consider re-recording "Laughter Turns to Tears" with the current lineup? It is such a great pop song and one that I sense could do very well in the charts. I'm baffled as to why it wasn't released when it was first recorded...just curious. Any thoughts or comments? Thanks

Why would they want to record a song that have already done so well. It would not be the same.

They have new songs to concentrate on at the moment and are looking forwards not back.

That didn't stop them from re-recording Heavy and Just One Look in the past...

Rob - Can you please expand on "done so well"? Done so well in what respect? Did it ever make it to the charts? Just need to know what you mean by the phrase. Am I missing something? Thanks!

I'm guessing that he means they did it so well, ie made a great recording of it.

I agree that it's pointless them re-cutting things (unless they weren't satisfied with the first recordings & think they can improve them now). A 'live' album/DVD would be nice for the future though.

It's been suggested, I suspect planned for (in the case of a live album) but nothing has ever surfaced. Maybe this 'new' Hollies lineup will produce something.

That's correct. The original song was fantastic and I don't believe could be bettered in any way.

Indeed it was, I think that it works on so many levels - I think I'll start a new topic on this one.
