I guess I can answer my own question since the album/single info has been posted to the website...."So Damn Beautiful". Can anyone tell me what they know about this track relevant to its music, lyrics, arrangement, vocals. etc?

Just heard a new Hollies track played on BBC radio 2 on the Terry wogan show. Soon as it it came on I knew it was them. Was probably the new single. Sounded great.

According to the Radio 2 website that was a song called 'Emotions'' from 'Staying Power'.

Can anyone describe it? A ballad? Keyboards?

Thinking about it, it did keep saying 'Emotions' , so my mistake. you would have thought the new single would have been the choice. Still great to hear them on the airwaves.

It's a great song with good lyrics, a marvellous hook and an overall good feel and great arrangement. To me, it's classic Hollies. I'm not sure I can describe it in any more detail, sorry!

Yeahhh, truly a great great song and for me the first new Hollies song I have heard in over ten years. I still look forward to getting home tomorrow and have a listen to the "Hope" cd.
Of course it was a bit strange for me, since I consider myself a great Allan Clarke fan, but "Emotions" is simply a very good and moving song and can stand competition to anything that is on the charts. I am quite glad that they get a bit of airplay, hopefully even more as the release date comes closer. If the rest of the album can continue this standard we do have a great achievement waiting for us. It seems a very dedicated project and I wish the Hollies all the success in the world. They truly deserve it.

A great Christmas holiday to all of you!!!!!

Best Regards, Michael

I can't help being a little cynical about the current line-up (a bit like George & Ringo calling themselves The Beatles)...but having said that, it was better than I expected & I wish the guys luck.

As a matter of interest Peter, what is your view of the 1972 line-up when Mikael Rickfors was with the band?
