Does anyone have info on the band that was support for the Hollies on the 1971 tour, I believe it was of Sweden, where MIKAEL' band 'BAMBOO' was the support. From what I understood, members of the Hollies kept in contact with Mikeal and when Allan announced his departure the first go round, they immediately contacted MIKEAL who got the gig as the front guy for the Hollies. Also, is there any documented music on his group?
Nobody seems to know the answer to this one? Kidz........Talk to me....

It's an interesting question! I don't know anything about them, too. What I know is that Touch originally was a song by this band but then was rerecorded with the Hollies.
But it would be great to hear something from this band!

Bamboo did, apparently, release a couple of singles. I've seen them listed as Parlophone releases (1968) which makes the plot thicken somewhat.

Google "Bamboo Rickfors" and you will find some good info.

I´ve missed this discussion about Bamboo when it took place. Here´s some facts.

Bamboo was Rickfors swedish group before he joined The Hollies. They were four members. There was at least one single; Everybody´s gone home (David Justin) and on the flipside Can´t you come to me (M Rickfors). The single was released on Parlophone (SD 6031) in 1968.

It´s a very, very good single, and that means both sides.

I have recently been lucky enough to nab one of those. It comes with a picture sleeve. Apparently there was also an EP with "Touch" on it, with the same photo on its sleeve as the 2-track single. Good tracks, with Rickfors sounding even more throaty than a few years later with The Hollies. He was only 18 or 19 when these were recorded; shades of Stevie Winwood in his early phase with The Spencer Davis Group. And they are both sung in English.
