I don't know the precise reason it wasn't released here, but I suspect the lack of any major UK or US singles on the LP played some role (as opposed to its predecessor, Stay With the Hollies) The success of seven-inch vinyl releases was all important in those days... |

Hi Bruce,
In the States they had the nack of making up their own records, a bit from here and a bit from there then wow a new Hollies LP.
Stay had some wonderful numbers, I got my copy from a second hand record store when I was just a kid.
Bye,

That's right Anthony...and those "epically imperious" ( ) decisions to change the US LP contents and and cover art, especially in the 60s, drove the band a bit crazy. Might be considered a form of "intellectual piracy" today...
Not bad for latter day CD sales, though, as I have the two slightly different versions of those albums in cases where both are available! |

In the Hollies style was quite impressive for the time, considering the number of self-penned songs. Maybe the US label Imperial though more covers would be commercially more successful?
I bought Hear hear! and Beat group (the latter for A taste of honey), but should of course have bought Here I go again way back then considering the price it fetches today.
