Just wanted to mention that the long-lost 1966 album the Everly Brothers did with
the Hollies, "Two Yanks In England", has just been re-issued here in the States by
Collector's Choice Music. The track listing is a virtual "who's who" of familiar
Hollies titles...."So Lonely", "Signs That Will Never Change", "Like Everytime Before", "Have You Ever Loved Somebody", "Fifi The Flea", "Hard, Hard Year" are
among the tracks.

Here is the link to the Collector's Choice website if you're interested in ordering.
On the homepage, click on the picture of the Everlys on the left-hand side:

Incidentally, "Two Yanks In England" is one of FIFTEEN Warner-label Everly
albums from 1960-70 being re-issued by Collector's Choice. One of the re-issues,
"The Everly Brothers Sing", from 1967, includes their last Stateside Top 40 hit,
"Bowling Green", which I understand went to Number One in the UK.
Enjoy! Thanks!

I have the CD -- it sounds great.

Unfortunately, there are no bonus tracks, so the CD is pretty short.

Everyone should have heard this LP before, so there's no need to talk about it. The liner notes are somewhat informative, and the sound quality of the CD is great.

I give this release a "thumbs up."

I haven't heard this album... maybe someone could write a review because I don't think that many people have heard it yet.

Not sure I would make the assumption everyone has heard it. Pre-Internet era of course, but it took me over a decade to find the LP after I first heard of it (from the liner notes to the 1973 Epic "greatest hits). NEVER thought it would be available on CD.

You're right, good sound and nice new liner notes from Richie Unterberger. I just hoped against hope it would provide more details on the instrumental role of the Hollies on the eight tracks they wrote and play on (I have the "who played what" info on the other four tracks, which are included on the Everlys' "Heartaches and Harmonies" box set).

So, please excuse and ignore the rest of us who do feel the need to talk about it.
