Was he not with the band on a tour around about the Nash reunion (either just before or just after)? |

Hi Martin
I have been a Hollies fan for 37 years now and I don't remember anyone called Jamie Moses being in the band infact I have never heard of him. If he did sing with The Hollies then he must have been a session singer or something. Anyone is welcome to correct me if I am wrong.
Best Wishes
Susie |

Yes, Jamie Moses did play with the Hollies, in the early 80's I believe. He was the other guitarist (alongside Alan Coates) in the band Broken English. I'm not sure how long he played with the Hollies (only concerts, I believe - no recordings), I think it may have just been to stand in for Alan Coates at one point, I don't quite recall. |

Hi All
Cheers Glen...Thanks to everyone for the replies to this. I thought it might be the case he was with them just a short while.

Yes, Jamie was in the Hollies. In 1983 he came in to fill in for Alan Coates. Coates returned by the middle of that year just as Graham Nash rejoined the group to play a U.S. summer tour. |

Jamie Moses was with The Hollies when they played New Zealand in 1983. He played rythmn and sang harmony. Nice singer too!

Jamie also stepped in for Alan Coates when he had apendicitis in norway in 1986, playing concerts in Mysen and Tromsø. |

A Bootleg recording exists of one of the 1983 New Zealand concerts Jamie Moses took part in. Another unusual aspect of this recording is that Tony Hicks speaks on it. I don't think Tony ever spoke much at concerts before the mid eighties. He certainly said very little if anything at Edinburgh in 79.

Doesn't he make some comments on the '76 live album? |

Nope, it's only Clarkey and Terry who have some banter on the Live Hits album. Hicks does make a few sarcastic comments on the recent release of the 1983 album with Nash. |

Apart from when Allan referred to him as "Mr" Tony Hicks I don't think we hear him speak on the 76 album. He spoke alot more on the footage I have from the Rickfors period but I suppose that was because he had to.
I know some think of Tony as being somewhat aloof but I don't think that this is the case at all - I have met him on a number of occasions and have always found him to be nothing other than charming and friendly, although a little quiet. Rather I think he simply doesn't feel comfortable being the centre of attention and would rather let someone else do it if possible. |

Jamie is featured on guitar/vocs on the Return Of The Champions live album from Queen and Paul Rodgers which is in the UK album charts at the moment. Nice recording, well worth checking out. |
