Has anyone noticed that they have used an alternate vocal take for Look through any window on last years' 2-CD compilation? Are there other deviations from the original versions on this album? I see that the whole album was digitally remastered by Peter Mew. |

Acoustic guitar is missing from I Can't Tell The Bottom From The Top - Bob had complained about it being out of time with his cymbals on the 'At Abbey Road 1966-70' CD, so I presume that this is why it has been removed. The orchestration is much more prominent in this section now. |

Thanks for the info, James. Having given Look through any window more listening, and comparing this stereo version with the mono version on the recent release of A's and B's and EPs, the main difference is that Graham's high harmony vocal is not on top of Allan in the chorus, so you can hear Allan going down, while Graham stay high up there. So it's probably a remix difference. Am I right? |
