Hung up on those silver strings, like sails, like seagulls cries, like voices in thenight.....I believe Mr. Hicks was using a GIBSON MELODY MAKER (circa 70's) model when touring the States in 83. Since I HAVENT seen the group over here with the ex-Lightning Strikes Twice shouter CARL WAYNE in the line up 2002. What model/make was he using for those shows. Also Since The Hollies have been over in STATES SO MANY TIMES, since 83, (yeah sure right) What has he been using on subsequent tours in England, everywhere else? Thanks
BTW-'Lightning Strikes Twice' was one of the last singles I believe Carl was on. Or was it Hello Susie from Shazam?? |

Otis - Ah, another Be Bop Deluxe/Bill Nelson fan...
The last single Carl sang for the Move was "Curly". Roy Wood sang "Hello Susie", although Carl sang lead on all the other tracks from the Shazam LP. Also, I think it was Rick Price, perhaps with assistance from Jeff Lynne, who sang "Lightning Never Strikes". Carl had left the band by that time.
