We went to the Alban Arena in St Albans on Friday 6th April with fellow-Hollies fans Bieneke & Malcolm and enjoyed a great concert in a nice venue.
It was uncertain that we would be able to make the concert as my wife Helen was hospitalised two weeks ago but fortunately she made a good recovery and we were able to go. We were treated to the usual 2 hours of Hollies magic.
An excellent night!
ps. Peter announced that Bobby has finished his book and is hoping to find a publisher soon. Can't wait to read that.
Set list:
First Half-
Kind Midas In Reverse (short version)
I Can't Let Go
Sorry Suzanne
Jennifer Eccles
On A Carousel
Gasoline Alley Bred
Listen To Me
Weakness
We're Through
Priceless
I Can't Tell The Bottom From The Top
Just One Look
Stay
Look Through Any Window
Second Half-
Stop In The Name Of Love
Here I Go Again
Yes I Will
Bus Stop
I'm Alive
The Baby
Sandy
Carrie Anne
Stop Stop Stop
He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother
The Air That I Breathe
Long Cool Woman |

I really don't need to say that there was another great show at the Concert Hall last night. Peter again said that as long as we keep wanting to see them they will keep on touring! I didn't make a list of the songs but there was one song omitted from the list John posted - Stop in the name of love - and Curly Billy was brought back to open the second half. This song is a brilliant opener. Oh and there is a new tour book which has features from "down under" and one by a fan in the USA. |
